H.E. Shorifzoda Yusuf Toir Marks Tajikistan’s Independence Day in Pakistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Pakistan hosted a reception to mark the anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence Day, celebrated with traditional fervour and diplomatic ceremony.

The event was led by Mr. Shorifzoda Yusuf Toir, Ambassador of Tajikistan to Pakistan, who, along with the embassy staff, formally hoisted the national flag and cut a celebratory cake to mark the occasion.

The ceremony was attended by diplomats, government officials, and members of the community, reflecting the warmth and friendship that characterises relations between the two nations.

Addressing the gathering, Ambassador Shorifzoda highlighted the significance of Tajikistan’s independence and expressed gratitude for the strong support and goodwill extended by Pakistan. He noted that the bilateral relationship has grown steadily over the years, with expanding cooperation in trade, energy, and cultural exchanges.

Pakistan’s leadership also conveyed greetings to the government and people of Tajikistan on the occasion. Messages of goodwill were exchanged, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to strengthening ties with Dushanbe. Officials emphasised that Pakistan and Tajikistan enjoy excellent relations rooted in shared history, culture, and regional connectivity.

The reception underscored the importance of continued collaboration between the two countries, particularly in the context of regional peace and economic development.

The celebration not only marked Tajikistan’s independence but also reaffirmed the enduring friendship between the two brotherly nations. A formal reception will be organized next month in Islamabad on October 07, 2026.
