In the village of M'dagh, outskirts of Berkane, and with the blessed permission of Sheikh Sidi Muadh Al-Qadiri Boutchichi, the Al-Qadiriyya Al-Boutchichiyya order commemorated the ninth anniversary of the passing of the divine pole (Qutb), renewer of Sufi conduct, Sheikh Hamza ibn Al-Abbas Al-Qadiri Al-Boutchichi, one of the luminaries of contemporary Islamic Sufism in Morocco and the Islamic world.

The occasion of commemorating the death anniversary of the renewing pole (Qutb), Sidi Hamza, falls within the framework of the spiritual and educational methodology established by the late Sheikh's school, aimed at preserving the order, which is considered one of the most prominent Sufi references at the national and international levels.

The anniversary is an occasion for the recitation of the Holy Quran, the holding of devotional remembrances (adhkar) and acts of charity, and the performance of good deeds, while raising hands in humble supplication to the Almighty, with righteous prayers for the Commander of the Faithful, His Majesty King Mohammed VI (may God grant him victory), that God may protect His Majesty, bring joy to his eyes through the Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay El Hassan, strengthen him with the support of his brother, His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the noble royal family.

Especially as the Al-Qadiriyya Al-Boutchichiyya Zawiya (lodge) has been known throughout the ages as a space for remembrance and worship, a fortress of national values, combining spiritual education and social work.

Furthermore, the Sheikh of the Al-Qadiriyya Al-Boutchichiyya order, Sidi Muadh Al-Qadiri Boutchichi, via the Zawiya council, called upon all disciples and followers of the order to hold regional meetings across various regions of Morocco on Saturday, February 17th and 24th, 2026.

Sheikh Hamza ibn Al-Abbas Al-Qadiri Al-Boutchichi was born in 1922 in the M'dagh region. He grew up in a family renowned for knowledge and Sufism. He received his religious and spiritual education from his father, Sheikh Al-Abbas ibn Al-Mukhtar Boutchichi. Sheikh Hamza adopted a moderate Sufi approach, rooted in the Quran and Sunnah, focused on self-discipline, and the entrenchment of ethical values and the values of citizenship.
