Hong Kong presence at the Brussels International Film festival
Hong Kong films shine in Brussels as Back To The Past premieres at Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, competing for the Golden Raven. Another entry, Another World, joins the lineup, while a John Woo retrospective recently highlighted the city’s cinema.

This Tuesday was screened Back To The Past (ChunChun Gei)from Jack Lai & Yuen Fai Ngand produced byOne Cool Film Production Limited during the BrusselsInternational Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF).As thetitlesuggeststhis is a time travel thriller packed with actions and good sentiments in the sincerest tradition of Hong Kong actions cinema.The film is competing intheinternational competition to win theGolden Raven. The festival willalsohost another film from Hong Kong but in a different category this time:Another World from Tommy Ng Kai Chung. An animated epic taking place in the afterlife populated by radiant colors and masked characters.
It seems a good time for Hong Kong films in Brussels as two weeks ago, a John woo retrospective(A Better Tomorrow, HardBoiled) was held during the OFFSCREEN FilmFestival across the capital.
The screening was supported thanks to the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Brussels (HKETO),the Film Development Fund and Create HK.
