Tashkent State University of Law recognised as a “Reporter” in Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026
TSUL has been recognised as a “Reporter” in the 2026 THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, marking its first inclusion in this global evaluation. This status shows that the university met the data and participation requirements, reflecting its growing research capacity and commitment to interdisciplinary work. Although not yet ranked, TSUL’s Reporter designation signals progress toward full evaluation and strengthens its alignment with international academic standards.
Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) has earned recognition in the newly released Times Higher Education (THE) Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026. For the first time, the university has been granted the prestigious “Reporter” status, marking an important step in its engagement with one of the world’s most influential university ranking organisations.
The Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings evaluate universities based on several key dimensions. These include the degree of multidisciplinarity in their research activities, the quality and reliability of their scientific practices, and the overall contribution of their research outcomes to solving major global challenges. The ranking aims to highlight institutions that demonstrate strong commitment to integrating knowledge across various fields to address complex international issues.
In the 2026 edition, THE reviewed the performance of 911 universities from 94 countries, illustrating the global scale and competitiveness of this ranking. Among these institutions, TSUL’s inclusion as a Reporter signals that the university has submitted all required data and met the basic criteria for participation, even though it is not yet fully ranked.
The “Reporter” designation is an acknowledgement of universities that are actively developing their research capabilities and strengthening their collaboration with THE. Although these institutions do not appear in the final ranked list, they are recognised for taking meaningful steps toward full evaluation in future editions. For TSUL, this status reflects its growing academic and research profile, as well as its commitment to improving performance in international assessments.
According to THE, universities with Reporter status remain part of an ongoing process of cooperation and data submission. This allows them to build experience, enhance their internal research practices, and position themselves more competitively in the coming years. For TSUL, participation in this process provides valuable insight into global standards of interdisciplinary research and contributes to its long-term institutional development.
