Türkiye’s Women’s National Volleyball Team One Step Away from the Trophy Again
The Sultans of the Net swept Serbia 3–0 in the semi-final at Istanbul's Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, setting up a title clash on Sunday against Italy or Poland.

Türkiye’s Women’s National Volleyball Team, widely known as the “Sultans of the Net,” has reached the final of the 2026 CEV Women’s European Volleyball Championship.
Playing in front of a home crowd at Istanbul’s Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, Türkiye delivered an impressive performance to defeat Serbia 3–0 in the semi-final and secure a place in the championship match.
The Turkish team had previously defeated Germany 3–1 in the quarter-final before producing an even more dominant display against Serbia.
Türkiye will now play for the European title on Sunday, 6 September at 19:00, facing the winner of the Italy–Polandsemi-final.
The final represents another major moment for Turkish women’s volleyball, which has established itself among the leading forces in the international game.
Now only one victory separates the Sultans of the Net from the European crown.
Türkiye is in the final. The next target is the trophy.
