Uzbekistan in Global Social Development Summit in Qatar

Uzbekistan will take part tomorrow in the Second World Summit of Social Development in Doha, Qatar from 3 to 4 November 2025. The said summit is held as part of the United Nations and the meeting of heads of state and government leaders, including international organizations and civil society, in order to develop global strategies to combat poverty promote social integration, full employment, and sustainable development.

The Uzbek delegation will be represented by senior officials from the Ministry of Social Development. They will present recent positive experience in the social sector, including projects to support vulnerable categories and social equality and employment for youth. The coordinating of national development plans with theUN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Developmentwill be a subject for consideration by authorities.

“This summit is an opportunity to showcase Uzbekistan’s progress in building a socially inclusive society and to learn from international best practices,” said a senior government official. “We aim to strengthen partnerships that promote social equity, economic opportunity, and sustainable growth.”

Uzbekistan's involvement, according to analysts, shows the nation's increasing involvement in international development platforms and points to a move away from regional geopolitics and toward greater international cooperation.
