China’s economic development: Past present and Future

This Monday the 13th of July, an interview with the ambassador of China to Belgium, His Excellency Fei Shengchao was held at Press Club in the heart of the European quarter of Brussels. The presentation was an occasion to highlight the 105th anniversary of the leadership of China by the Communist Party and thus the ambassador shared a recollection of modern China success story and all the challenges they overcame through the century. He stated the similarities between the EU and China and that China also believes in democracy and freedom of the press. The conversation was then oriented towards the possibilities of economic partnerships between the EU and China and the existing threshold restraining closer cooperations.

The speech moderated by Catherine Feore, Brussels editor of EU Reporter, was then followed by a Q&A with the public.
