EUReflect Attended Academic Conference and Iftar Program in Leuven
Leuven, 5 March 2026 — EUReflect attended an academic conference followed by an Iftar gathering held in Leuven, bringing together scholars, community representatives, and invited guests for an evening of discussion and cultural exchange.

The event, organized in cooperation with Maarif Belgium, began with an academic conference addressing themes related to education, intercultural dialogue, and the role of academic cooperation in strengthening international understanding. Participants engaged in discussions that highlighted the importance of educational initiatives and cross-cultural communication in today’s interconnected world.
Following the conference, guests gathered for Iftar, the traditional meal that marks the end of the daily fast during the holy month of Ramadan. The shared dinner created an atmosphere of openness and dialogue, offering participants the opportunity to continue conversations in a more informal setting while reflecting on the cultural and social significance of the occasion.
The gathering took place at Naamsestraat 22 in Leuven, welcoming attendees from different professional and cultural backgrounds. The program emphasized community engagement and the value of academic platforms in encouraging dialogue between institutions, researchers, and members of the public.
EUReflect attended the event as part of its coverage of cultural, academic, and diplomatic activities taking place in Belgium. The conference and Iftar program provided an opportunity to observe how educational institutions and organizations are fostering dialogue, cooperation, and community engagement through shared initiatives.
Events combining academic discussion with cultural traditions continue to serve as valuable spaces for dialogue, allowing participants to exchange perspectives and strengthen connections between communities in Belgium and beyond.
