Kazakhstan and Hungary Strengthen Ties in Digitalization and Space Technology

Astana, July 16, 2025 — Kazakhstan and Hungary are advancing their strategic partnership with a focus on innovation and high-tech collaboration. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Alibek Kuantyrov, met with Gellért Jászai, Chairman of the Board of Directors of 4iG Plc. and Ambassador-at-Large for Hungary’s international business development, alongside Otto Iván Róna, Hungary’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

The discussions centered on expanding bilateral investment cooperation, particularly in digital transformation, telecommunications, satellite systems, and geospatial technologies. Deputy Minister Kuantyrov highlighted the importance of integrating 4iG’s cutting-edge solutions to support Kazakhstan’s national objectives in digitalizing its economy and developing its space sector.

“Kazakhstan is committed to attracting technological investors and fostering high-tech industries,” Kuantyrov stated. “We see significant potential for collaboration with 4iG, both in space initiatives and through the transfer of advanced IT and telecom solutions.”

Chairman Jászai reaffirmed 4iG’s interest in deepening cooperation with Kazakh partners, especially in satellite and geospatial services. He noted that the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with JSC “NC Kazakhstan Gharysh Sapary” marks a pivotal step toward a long-term strategic alliance, paving the way for joint projects in digitalization and space technology.

During the visit, the 4iG delegation also held meetings with officials from relevant Kazakh government agencies to explore practical avenues for cooperation and the implementation of joint technological initiatives.

The company is spearheading major projects in digital infrastructure and satellite communications, and in 2025, began construction of Hungary’s first space technology manufacturing center.
