MP Ali Özkaya in Brussels

As part of ongoing engagements in Brussels, Member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Ali Özkaya emphasized Türkiye–Belgium cooperation and the importance of transforming strong diaspora bonds into strategic economic opportunities.

Highlighting the deep-rooted presence of the Emirdağ community in Belgium, MP Özkaya stated:

“For more than 50 years, generations born and raised here have preserved their identity — when we travel through certain areas, it feels like walking through Emirdağ itself.”

With Brussels’ Turkish community being predominantly Emirdağ-origin, he underscored that this social strength should now translate into new investments and joint initiatives that benefit the region economically — particularly through the Emirdağ Organized Industrial Zone (OSB).

MP Özkaya reiterated Türkiye’s commitment to supporting its citizens abroad while reinforcing bilateral cooperation with Belgium in trade, culture, and community development.
