Pakistan Heritage Day to celebrate culture, tradition and diversity in Brussels
More than a celebration of tradition, Pakistan Heritage Day seeks to build bridges between communities by sharing Pakistan’s culture, history and diversity with the multicultural city of Brussels.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels is opening its doors today forPakistan Heritage Day, a cultural event bringing together Pakistani traditions, cuisine, arts, music and craftsmanship in the Belgian capital.
Taking place from10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Embassy of Pakistan, 57 Avenue Delleur, the event invites members of the Pakistani community as well as Belgian and international visitors to discover different aspects of Pakistan’s cultural heritage.
The programme highlights Pakistan’s cultural diversity through a range of activities and exhibitions. Visitors can experience traditional Pakistani cuisine, handicrafts, henna art, traditional clothing and jewellery, music and performances, as well as tourism and cultural exhibitions.
Speaking during the event, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, Mr. Rahim Hayat Qureshi, highlighted the importance of sharing Pakistan’s heritage with Belgian and European audiences.
“Today, we organised the annual Heritage Day at the Embassy of Pakistan to introduce our Belgian and European friends to Pakistan’s historical heritage and cultural aspects.”
The Ambassador expressed his appreciation for the enthusiasm of visitors who attended the cultural festival.
“It brings me great joy to see people enthusiastically participating in today’s cultural festival,not only from Belgium but from various parts of Europe, and enjoying Pakistani attire and our traditional cuisine.”
He also thanked members of the Pakistani community who contributed to the event.
“I would also like to extend special thanks to those Pakistani friends who set up stalls displaying Pakistani products, regional clothing, and traditional dishes, truly adding to the vibrancy of our festival.”
For Pakistanis living abroad, cultural events such as this provide an opportunity to maintain connections with their heritage while sharing traditions with the wider community. In Brussels, a city that brings together diplomatic missions and communities from around the world, the event also offers a space for cultural exchange.
