Pakistan–EU Academic Ties Strengthened through Erasmus+ Engagement

Brussels: The Embassy participated in an Erasmus+ (@EUErasmusPlus) Information Session aimed at disseminating opportunities across key Erasmus+ actions, including Capacity Building in Higher Education, International Credit Mobility, Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, and Jean Monnet Actions. The session brought together academic stakeholders and policy practitioners to explore avenues for deepening collaboration between Pakistan and the European Union.

In his welcome remarks, Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Muhammad Faisal Fayyaz underscored Erasmus+ as a cornerstone of the Pakistan–EU knowledge partnership. He emphasized the need for optimal utilization of all Erasmus+ instruments, particularly International Credit Mobility and Jean Monnet Actions, to further academic excellence, policy dialogue, and people-to-people connectivity.

“Erasmus+ offers transformative opportunities for our students, faculty, and institutions,” the C’dA noted. “By fully leveraging these programs, Pakistan and the EU can advance shared goals in education, research, and informed policymaking, while fostering enduring institutional linkages.”

The Information Session provided detailed guidance on eligibility, application processes, and best practices, encouraging Pakistani higher education institutions to expand participation and build sustainable partnerships with European counterparts. The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to facilitating academic cooperation and supporting stakeholders in accessing Erasmus+ opportunities.
