Turkic States Cooperation Day Reception in Ankara - 2

The Turkic States Cooperation Day was celebrated on October 3 with a reception held in Ankara. The event was attended by Minister of Interior Ali Yerlikaya, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nuh Yılmaz, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Kubanıçbek Ömüraliyev, deputy ministers from Turkic states, and ambassadors based in Ankara.

In his address, AK Party Deputy Chairman Kürşad Zorlu emphasized the economic and cultural dimensions of cooperation among Turkic states, stating, “The Turkic world is rapidly advancing toward playing a leading role both regionally and globally.” Minister Yerlikaya and OTS Secretary General Ömüraliyev also highlighted the significance of the Nakhchivan Agreement.

The reception drew strong participation from the ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, as well as other diplomatic mission representatives. Members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, chairpersons of interparliamentary friendship groups, and representatives of institutions such as TİKA, TURKSOY, the Yunus Emre Institute, Anadolu Agency, and TRT were also present.

The cultural program featured a performance by the Yesevi Art Ensemble, which presented melodies from the Turkic world and received high acclaim. Among the ensemble’s artists was also our columnist Meryem Hojayeva.

Guests were additionally offered exhibitions and visual presentations showcasing the history and cultural heritage of the Turkic world.
