Turkish Republic Day Reception in Brussels

On 29 October 2025, EUReflect had the great honor of attending the Republic Day Reception in Brussels, commemorating the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.

The prestigious event was hosted by H.E. G. Barış Tantekin, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Belgium, and Mrs. Damla Tantekin, alongside H.E. Faruk Kaymakcı, Ambassador and Permanent Delegate of Türkiye to the European Union, and H.E. Basat Öztürk, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Türkiye to NATO.

The reception brought together a distinguished gathering of diplomats, officials, and guests, celebrating Türkiye’s enduring commitment to democracy, peace, and progress. It also highlighted the country’s strong and evolving ties with European and transatlantic partners.

Among the invitees were the ambassadors of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Tajikistan — as well as many other diplomats from across the globe, including representatives from Latin America and China.

The evening concluded with a delightful Turkish feast, offering guests a taste of Türkiye’s rich culinary heritage and warm hospitality.
